I am very excited to be a part of Surf City Chiropractic’s team and work with Dr. Smith. As office manager, I can answer questions regarding insurance, billing, and chiropractic treatment.   

As a native Santa Cruzian, I am happy to be living back in my home town and working at Surf City Chiropractic. After graduating from Harbor High, I went on to receive my B.A. in English Literature at UC Berkeley. I also put in
two years on the Cal Women’s Soccer team. I spent my post-graduation honeymoon with a winter in the Sierra Nevada and a summer in Chilean Patagonia, which eventually had me craving my home town’s perfect climate. You can now find me biking, swimming, running, surfing, hiking, and playing pick-up soccer around town.       

 

Maria is our new front office assistant.  She graduated from UCSB in 2003 with degrees in Aquatic Biology and Global Studies.  Besides enjoying the Santa Barbara sun she worked as an EMT, and was awarded the most inspirational player for the women's water polo team.  In addition to bringing a sense of calm to her busy domain, she provides great care to Surf City patients and always tries to make them smile.  She is the first person to greet patients in the office and will gladly remind you of your next appointment too.  In her spare time, Maria enjoys hiking, swimming, scuba diving and traveling.
