Dr. Meghan Dowling
Dr. Meghan Dowling is a fifth generation doctor of chiropractic who graduated as valedictorian with Summa Cum Laude honors from Palmer College of Chiropractic West in 2011. While in school, she was an active member of the Sports Council where she gained valuable experience in treating athletes of all kinds. In addition to practicing Diversified, Gonstead and Thompson Drop chiropractic techniques, Dr. Dowling is certified in Graston technique, a unique soft tissue modality which effectively treats myofascial adhesions and scar tissue. Dr. Dowling has also undergone extensive training in rehabilitation of the spine and extremities, as well as in Science Based nutritional analysis. Dr. Dowling is also currently working towards her Diplomate of the American Chiropractic Board of Nutrition, the highest degree in clinical nutrition in her field.
Since her graduation, Dr. Dowling has been working at her family’s practice, Austin Family Chiropractic in San Jose, CA. Palmer College of Chiropractic has confirmed that Austin Family Chiropractic is the oldest and longest running chiropractic practice in the world, reaching the 100 year mark in 2011. She recently began practicing at Surf City Chiropractic to work in the community where she was raised and currently lives with her husband and young daughter.
